Amanda Murray

After graduating high school and being out in the work force, Amanda’s pursuit to find a career she was passionate about grew.

“I wanted a career that enabled me to make people smile and feel good about themselves.”

Having an aunt in the cosmetology industry for over 30 years, gave her perspective on the career she was longing for. After being introduced to an Esthetician that showed her the passion and creativity that went into Esthetics, Amanda knew she was hooked. Once she found the perfect school she was on her way to a career that would take her miles and help her grow as an individual.

Graduating from the Academy of Cosmetology in 2008, she began her career at a Spa in Downtown Truro. In her six years working there she continued her education and pursued extensive training with Dermalogica skin care. She excelled from Junior to Master Esthetician quickly and made close relationships with clients and fellow co-workers. As the saying goes, one door closes and another one opens. In July 2014, after some bumps in the road and being in a difficult situation, Amanda’s friend and now entrepreneur to her own business opened her dream spa in November of that same year.

“Having being on this journey with her, I feel so lucky to be able to re start a career that will take me to greater lengths and achievements. I now have advanced certifications in Dermaplaning, Skin Peels, Lash Extensions, Lash Lift and hair removal; and in 2018, I achieved my Expert status with Dermalogica.

My passion is in all aspects of Esthetics. I love the science of skin care and what Dermalogica brings to the table. I love the beauty and health Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup entails and the creativity I get to bring to eyebrow shaping and nail techniques.

Most of all, knowing that I have instilled trust, comfortability and friendships with my clients by being someone that will always make an effort to care for your goals and make you feel welcome at Glow Spa.”
